Buick is actually building this thing
Buick isn’t building anything. Opel are building it in Poland, Buick are just peddling it.

It's a semi-affordable, FWD, sits 4 convertible. I don't see a problem with this, we need more not stupidly expensive convertibles.

2-door as well! Even that is getting rare these days.

VW just killed off its FWD mid-market Droptop because they don’t sell. Unless this thing is like 25k topped out, they won’t sell any.

Is this going to be sold as a Buick in the US?
Honestly, with their customer base, it’ll probably sell like hot cakes.
Literally, it’ll sell like the hot cakes Buick owners enjoy every Sunday morning before church with the Penny Saver special at their local IHOP.

if I lived in a warmer climate (read: California) I would be the first to buy a blue on beige turbo manual one of these.
Then i’d chip it, throw a catback on, lower it an inch, and get some nice wheels wrapped in Pilot Supersports.
Then i’d have the ultimate southern Europe guy toy car

Then you’d still have a car that handled worse and is slower then a base Mustang or Camaro convertible.

We already have them. And they’re RWD with at least 300hp (fine, 275 in the case of the turbo camaro).

only one problem. The soft top pony cars (with the roof up) look like a pair of hot women who got boob jobs in Somalia. Everything perfect besides that one piece of fucking discusting flyppyness that always catches the eye
In other words, I really dislike the soft-top pony cars

“Well thats like your opinion man”
I’m just not a fan of making a cruiser “sporty” when there are actual sporty cars for the same price. Which … is my opinion.

It wasn’t great. If you got one of the sportier models with the sport suspension it wasn’t as bad. And it was never hateful with top up.

There’s this whole thing Americans have where they think they’re the center of everything. If a car was sold in America by an American company, it’s an American car! If a car stopped being sold in America, it went out of production!
For some of us non-Americans, who don’t view the world through the American perspective, it can be maddening.

Where are you from? BTW have you seen this? http://www.lao.ca.gov/Blog/Media/Ima…
I hate it when people from other countries try to sound like they know everything because they aren’t from the USA. Then they try to ignore the importance of the USA or its position in the world. Also people who are not from the USA have this insane view that just because a few people believe the USA is the world that all people from the USA have that same perspective. I just think people who aren’t from the USA have a inferiority complex.

Australia. We don’t have the economy, but we’ve got a bunch of other great things instead. The USA is important, but it’s not the be-all and end-all.
You have a point though, it looks like we’re two sides of a coin.
